All Elephant Home

Follow the elephant's routine, be part of our family

Our Story

At All Elephant Home, we are more than just an elephant care center, we are a true home for elephants and for us, a family of mahouts who have grown up alongside these gentle giants.

Our roots trace back to Surin, a province in Thailand

known for its deep cultural connection with elephants.

For over 40 years, our family has passed down the tradition of elephant care from generation to generation, creating an unbreakable bond between humans and elephants.

Growing up in a mahout family, we lived every day alongside elephants waking up to their calls, feeding them, and tending to their needs as naturally as caring for our own family members.

We understand their emotions, their ways of communicating, and the love they are capable of giving. To us, elephants are not just animals; they are part of our heritage, our identity, and our family.

PRESERVING TRADITON WITH

Compassionate Care

Here, there is no riding, no restraints, "only love, respect, and the opportunity " to connect with elephants in a way that honors their nature.

We invite you to be part of our journey, to learn, to care, and to experience the magic of these incredible animals in their most natural and loving environment.

Our Elephants

Since childhood, we have grown up with elephants, and today, we care for more than 20 elephants across Phuket and Surin. But here at our home, All Elephant Home, we currently have only two elephants living with us.

Our dream is to make this home bigger, warmer, and ready to welcome all of our elephants back together,

so they no longer have to be apart. We want to see them roam freely, bathe together, and live peacefully in a place filled with love and care.

And now, let us introduce you to the two special elephants who are part of our family here...

Mayrie 29 years old

Mayrie: A Loving Companion for Over 28 Years

Mayrie may not have been the first elephant to join family, but she has been a beloved companion who has shared both joys and hardships with us for over 28 years. From the moment she walked into our lives, she has been an essential part of our family.

Mayrie came to us by chance, with her previous owner bringing her to our doorstep and asking if we could care for her. From that day on, she has been with us through thick and thin, becoming more than just an elephant she has been a part of our story, and a part of our hearts.

Mayrie has an incredible gentle nature. She understands humans, and is always the well-behaved and loving companion. Not only did she become part of our family, but she also helped us financially, even supporting me through school until I graduated.

Mayrie is the spark that inspired us to create All Elephant Home, a safe place where elephants like her could live in peace, without fear or hardship.

We wanted to create this home for Meri and all our elephant friends, so they could live happily, safely, and with better lives for both elephants and humans.

Now, its time for us to give back to Mayrie. She has spent her life helping us, and now we want to ensure that she receives the love and care she truly deserves.

Boonnum 49 years old

Auntie Boonnum: From a Troubled Past to a New Life Full of Love

Almost 10 years ago, an elephant camp in Phuket had to close down, leaving many elephants, including Auntie Boonnum, in an uncertain situation, with no idea what the future held.

Fortunately, my parents were given the chance to continue taking care of her. With their love and understanding of elephant life, they were determined to give Auntie Boonnum a new life, one where she would no longer have to work hard. Boonnum was relocated to another sanctuary. We hoped she would receive better care, but sadly, things didn't go as we expected...

She was forced to bathe in a pond filled with harsh chlorine every day, which caused her feet to rot. What began as a small wound wasnt treated properly and grew worse over time. She had to be hospitalized at the Krabi Elephant Hospital for 4 months for treatment.

We thought things would get better after her recovery, but soon after, Boonnum suffered from severe diarrhea and nearly lost her life. This was the "last straw" that made us realize...

We needed to create a home of our own...a home where she could truly thrive.

And so, ALL Elephant Home became her final HOME, a place where she no longer had to suffer.

Today, Boonnum walks freely, enjoys peaceful baths in clear streams, feasts on her favorite fruits, and receives all the love she deserves every day. The tired eyes she once had have now transformed into eyes full of joy and serenity.

Here, she is not just an elephant. She is our family.

Come meet Auntie Boonnum and experience ethical elephant care in the most natural and loving environment.
